Early 19th century miniature Secretaire Dressing Chest. This is a very rare and unusual lot in that it is such a neat size. Neville bought it in a chateau in Normandy, it was being used in a bedroom. It is an early 19th century ‘Empire’ style Secretaire chest. The mirror flap door opens down to reveal an impressive, fitted interior and distressed leather writing pad. The chest has three oak lined drawers with original locks and keys. The mahogany has a wonderful flame grain, and the brass mounted side pillars are very impressive. A nice black marble rests on top.
