19th century French hand painted fruitwood two door Armoire Cupboard.

Very similar to an Irish antique painted pine cupboard, however the painted neo classical figures on these doors are very French. Purchased from a chateau in Dijon, this cupboard is bright and has a fabulous vibe. There is an applied gesso moulding beneath the crown and the cupboard sits on bracket feet.

It was being used as a wardrobe but could be easily shelved to use for food or linen storage.

An unusual original free-standing cupboard that would certainly turn heads and open conversations about past lives as a centre piece in any room of a home.
