Early 19th Century French empire period mahogany five drawer Commode.

This Commode has a magnificent flame mahogany veneer enhanced by ornate ormolu escutcheons, brass drop handles and an impressive plaque on the top drawer. Consisting of five drawers including a secret base drawer, the chest has round corners sweeping outwards on top and rests on bun feet.

It has its original locks and key and slightly dappled black marble top. (616)
