An excellent Vintage Mid Century Industrial Brass bound teak Architects’ Desk / Chest, of British manufacture. It is executed in fine proportions and workmanship.

A very impressive piece with Campaign style brass sunk drawer pulls and corner banding. The Desk consists of two banks of six graduating drawers beneath a lift-top panel flap which reveals two pull out blueprint storage drawers.

The leather covered top features a ratchet adjustable work surface that allows the user to adjust to a more comfortable position to work at. These desks, also known as drafting desks, were built for artists, engineers and architects serving as multipurpose desks. (560)
