19th century French mahogany Buffet /Sideboard with Sarrancolin Versailles marble top.

This is a superb quality piece of furniture made by the well-known Haentges Freres of Paris and has a metal plate inscribed with the marker’s mark and their address (check out the price of similar pieces on the internet). The mahogany has a rich ‘plum pudding’ grain and there are nice brass mouldings and tapering reeded legs resting on brass sabots. The curved shaped side doors and drawers are exceptional.

This piece is in magnificent condition throughout however what really sets this piece apart is the quality of the shaped marble top.
