19th Century French Louis XV style Buffet.

This very attractive 19th Century Louis XV style mahogany Buffet / Sideboard has a wonderful white veined Carrara marble top. The Sideboard is raised on tapered fluted legs with ormolu sabots.

The front of the Buffet has a centre single panelled door which opens to reveal two cutlery drawers and an adjustable oak shelf. At each side of the centre panel, there are two curved glass doors, flanked by curved fluted columns with internal shelving. A large, curved drawer sits under the marble top. All locks work with brass hearted shaped escutcheons.

A truly wonderful piece of furniture made over 100 years ago and will look just as good in another 100 years. The skill and workmanship used to make antique furniture ensures an increased life span. An Antique piece has 16 times less carbon footprint than newly produced pieces and by reusing antique items, we all help decrease deforestation.
