Early 19th century ‘Empire’ period French walnut Console Table. This Console Table has a wonderful flame grain and has all the original brass mounts. The front cabriole legs terminate with a carved simulated lion’s paw foot. There is a platform base shelf and a back panel mirror (the idea of the mirror on the base was so the ladies could check the hem of their dress in the hallway before they left the house). The console table has its original white marble top, lock, and key. (433) Fabulous piece.
